entourage was appointed by the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) to imagine and deliver two of its most prestigious 2025 experiences: the Desert Polo Tournament and the exclusive Gala Dinner that followed.

Under the poetic theme “Where the Spirit of Desert Polo Meets the Splendour of AlUla”, we transformed raw desert terrain into a luxurious, world-class event venue in under one month welcoming royalty, global dignitaries, athletes, and lifestyle influencers into an unforgettable experience that fused heritage with modern elegance.

Strategic Significance for RCU

Desert Polo is more than a sport it’s a strategic tool in AlUla’s positioning as a global luxury and heritage destination. For the Royal Commission, this event was key to attracting high-profile attention, telling AlUla’s story through culture and equestrian tradition, and building long-term global associations with refinement, exclusivity, and adventure.

The Challenge

Creating a fully immersive luxury event in a protected desert environment, within just four weeks, presented both logistical and creative challenges:
Building operational and hospitality infrastructure from scratch in remote terrain
Managing VVIP and royal protocols with precision
Curating a cultural identity that merged local heritage with global luxury standards
Orchestrating seamless logistics for guests, athletes, media, and security teams
Delivering world-class production, despite time and location constraints

The central concept inspired every creative and strategic decision. We designed an experience that echoed the elegance of polo while drawing from the cultural and natural beauty of AlUla. The venue design, flow, content, and aesthetics all reflected this duality of tradition and modern luxury.

2. End-to-End Venue enhancement and production

entourage designed and executed a full enhancement for the full venue experience:
Spectator stands with shaded comfort and seamless views
VIP & Royal lounges adorned with culturally inspired interiors
Operational zones for athletes, organizing teams, and international media
Integrated pathways, atmospheric lighting, and architectural features inspired by the surrounding desert rock formations

3. Flawless VVIP Guest Journey

Every moment of the royal and high-profile guest journey was mapped and managed to perfection. From discreet arrival protocols and hospitality management, to private seating, service, and guided access every touchpoint was designed to surprise and impress.

4. Gala Dinner Under the Stars

To celebrate the tournament, Entourage curated a breathtaking Gala Dinner under the open AlUla sky:
A fusion of Saudi culinary heritage and global gourmet
Live performances by violinists and international entertainers
Customized ambience, lighting, and event architecture in harmony with the desert landscape

5. Masterpiece Trophies from Spain

To elevate the prestige of the tournament, entourage sourced handcrafted polo trophies from master artisans in Spain. These bespoke pieces were designed as timeless works of art, reflecting both the spirit of competition and the cultural elegance of the event.
